How to send Thanksgiving in a BOX!

Updated: Sep 23, 2022

While it is tempting to try and send an actual Thanksgiving meal for your November care package, keep in mind that most of our service members will have access to a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. With that in mind, I thought of a fun spin! Introducing...Thanksgiving in a Box: Snack Edition!

Not only is it fun and cheesy but it may also help you get out of the habit of sending them same items over and over (I know I'm guilty of doing that!) and give our loved one something new to try!

The idea here is to send snack items that would represent traditional Thanksgiving items.

Here is my list of snack items you could send to represent those traditional Thanksgiving dinner staples:

  • Turkey-turkey jerky

  • Mashed Potatoes- potato chips

  • Green Bean Casserole-Snap Pea Crisps and/or Funyuns

  • Corn-Corn Nuts

  • Cranberry Sauce-Craisins

  • Candied Yams-Marshmallows

  • Pumpkin Pie-Pumpkin Seeds

  • Apple Pie-Apple Chips

Thanksgiving in a Box: Snack Edition Tags

I created these fun tags that you can use to label your items so your loved one knows what each snack item represents!

There are two pages:

  • Page 1-pre-filled in based off my list above

  • Page 2-blank so you can write in your own
