Top 5 items to send in a Birthday "Party in a Box" Care Package

Holidays are one of my favorite times to send care packages. There are so many fun items to include from festive treats to decorations and more!


When I think of birthdays, I think of balloons, confetti, streamers, party hats and more!


For birthdays, I love to pack a party in a box to help my loved one celebrate their birthday.




Here is a list of my top 5 items to send in a Birthday "Party in a Box" Care Package!


  1. Mug Cake or Cake in a Jar

  2. Frosting

  3. Candles

  4. Gift(s)

  5. Party hats & decorations


Mug Cakes

What's a birthday without cake?!? Mug Cakes are the easiest way send some cake in your care package! The have a long shelf life, easy to pack, comes in a lot of different flavors AND you can make them in the microwave!


My husband loved when I sent them during his last deployment. Not only were they great for his birthday but they were also great when he needed something sweet during the day.



Cake in a Jar

There’s nothing like a homemade cake on your birthday. Now no matter where your loved one may be they can celebrate with a yummy cake made by YOU!

Frosting

Most Mug Cakes will come with frosting but if you are sending a Cake in a Jar then be sure to send some frosting!



Candles

Be sure to send some candles so your loved one can make a wish on their birthday!



Gift(s)

I always like to send one wrapped gift that my loved one can open ON their birthday. You can also collect cards from friends and family and add those to your care package.



Party Hats & Decorations

These may be a cheesy addition to your care package but they are fun! Who knows, your loved one may decorate their room and celebrate! Dollar tree is a great place to shop for cheap and inexpensive party decorations.


These are just a few ideas to help you get started. There are SO many other items you could include. Don't forget-you know your loved one best. Send what they want or need. No matter what, they will enjoy receiving a care package from you.
